Missionary Impossible on Rosh Hashanah

It hurts to hear people say it is too difficult to be Jewish.

Some missionaries go so far as to claim that it is “impossible” to keep the Torah.

My experience and the experience of generations before me is that the Torah is a precious gift with ancient wisdom that transcends time and circumstance.

In this week’s Torah portion of Nitzavim (Deuteronomy 29:9–30:20), there is a passage which puts Judaism’s detractors in their place.

God declares that the commands of the Torah are not out of reach. They are actually “very easy for you to carry out with your mouth and heart to do them” (Deuteronomy 30:14).

This verse provides a valuable spiritual message. As we approach Rosh Hashanah, we have an amazing and easy opportunity for spiritual rejuvenation and growth, and you can start now.

It’s easy to turn the Impossible into Possible by giving a charitable contribution now to Jews for Judaism in honor of the New Year and in preparation for Yom Kippur.

Please donate today online at, www.JewsforJudaism.org/donate because your gift of any amount will enable us to provide our important services to those in need.

I wish you a very happy and healthy Shanah Tovah,

Rabbi Bentzion Kravitz
