Molly
B. Koch
Speaker/President, Baltimore
Board
Molly B. Koch’s work on
the cult phenomenon and the devastation caused to individuals
and their families, has gained her a reputation as a leading
authority on the topic. In 1974, Ms. Koch co-founded The Personal
Freedom Foundation, an educational resource center and support
organization.
From 1980-1987 Ms. Koch was
the Director of the Baltimore based Project Yedid, which monitored
cult activity throughout the United States. Much of Ms. Koch’s
work and research provided critical information on cult groups
and their activities for use by the FBI, the ATF and the Israeli
government.
Ms. Koch has also been a teacher
and principal for over 30 years. Her work in the fields of
education, teacher/student relations and family counseling,
has gained her national acclaim. She was the first recipient
of the coveted Lipsetts Award for Jewish Education in 1979,
received the “Outstanding Woman Honorary Award”
from Woman’s Day Magazine in 1987, and was recognized
by the Maryland State Senate for her service to the Jewish
community.
Having worked with Jews
for Judaism during the 1980s and early 1990s, Ms. Koch assumed
the presidency of the Baltimore Board of Directors in 1998
and continues to be an active member of our speaker’s
bureau and counseling staff.
