Ruth
Guggenheim
Director of the Baltimore Office
Ms. Ruth Guggenheim is Director of the Baltimore office of Jews for Judaism.
Ruth was one of JEWS FOR JUDAISM'S original
employees over 15 years ago. She helped establish the groundwork
of our organization and has always maintained a strong commitment
to our work. We are thrilled to have her back and know that
her expertise and skills will further the growth of JEWS FOR
JUDAISM.
As the Director,
Ms. Guggenheim will focus on developing a long-term strategic
plan for local and national growth of the organization. Responsibilities
will include expansion of JEWS FOR JUDAISM'S annual donor
campaign, a capital campaign for enhancements to our recently
opened Learning and Resource Center and, the overall coordination
of the marketing and public relations departments.
Ruth's vision of her role: "As missionary
groups continue to flourish, with the multi-million dollar
backing of such groups as the Southern Baptists, it is critical
that the Jewish community respond accordingly. With the increasingly
deceptive and sophisticated techniques used by the Hebrew-Christian
movement, we have lost over a half-a-million Jewish born individuals
in less then 20 years! This spiritual holocaust must stop!
As the largest fulltime counter missionary, counter cult organization
serving the Jewish community, it is imperative that JEWS FOR
JUDAISM continue to grow on a national and international level.
It is my personal goal to enhance the delivery of quality
services and increase public awareness of this threat to our
people."
Ms. Guggenheim brings with her over 20 years
of experience in the field of public relations and development.
Prior to joining JEWS FOR JUDAISM, she was
Executive Director of the Baltimore Chapter of Hadassah, the
Director of Homeownership Services for CHAI, an agency of
The Associated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, and
a secular and religious school teacher. Additionally, Ms.
Guggenheim serves as Vice Chair of Kehillah: The Jewish Communal
Professional Association of Greater Baltimore and, is a member
of The National Association of Fundraising Professionals and
The National Association of Female Executives (NAFE).
