Peri Devaney
Administrator
Mrs. Peri Devaney, Administrator of the Jews
for Judaism office in Los Angeles, uses her education, years
of experience with service-oriented organizations, and diverse
skills to help keep the western region of Jews for Judaism
operating smoothly and to help develop materials, programs
and campaigns for Jews for Judaism’s use world-wide.
Born in New York to a family very involved with charitable
organizations, Peri learned at an early age that helping
others was a vital part of life. Even as a youth she was
helping organizations whenever possible … making posters,
running errands at their programs, manning the phones, and
doing whatever she could.
After earning her degree in education, math and computer
science from the State University of NY at Buffalo, she taught
high school math before moving into the “non-profit” world
to become education director for a major trade association
in the northeast. She moved to southern California with her
son in 1986 to become director of an international association
where she held such roles as director of membership services,
magazine editor and designer, database programmer and manager,
trade show coordinator, and vice president of conference
services and marketing.
Before joining the staff of Jews for Judaism in 2000, Peri
provided administrative, marketing, editorial and graphic
design consulting and support for several Jewish organizations,
schools and congregations in Southern California, often on
a volunteer basis. She has edited and designed books for
several published authors and has written articles for various
trade publications.
Peri’s is usually the voice that will greet you when
you call the Los Angeles office, and you can count on her
to help you in whatever way possible, often by directing
you to the appropriate person or resource.
